INSTALLING YOUR ATTACHEMNT:

Installing your new ACP or Foam Holster Attachment is simple. Be sure to follow all appropriate safety protocols and work only with a completely empty holster. The provided loop section (fuzzy patch) must be installed on the holster body on the side of the holster that contacts your body. Prepping the surface can be achieved with an alcohol prep pad, Isopropyl Alcohol, or a mild dish detergent and cool water, or other thermoplastic safe solvent. The use of hand sanitizer gel is not recommended. No matter what is used it is critical to let the surface of the holster completely dry before installing the loop. The loop should be positioned in a similar fashion to what can be seen in the below image. Take your time, work from the center and make sure to not trap any air bubbles under the patch. Once it is on take a moment to make sure the edges are adhered well, especially around the edges, curves, and bends in the holster body.

FILLING PILLOWS:

Your new pillow comes with more than enough high-performance synthetic fill to fill your pillow; it is vacuum sealed so use care when opening the bag. Extra fill should be retained for future use.

The RED hook covers are provided to keep the hook-and-loop hem clean when filling and adjusting fill level. Use them like a funnel to help get the fill in and keep the hook and loop clean. A marker, pen, or similar is helpful in getting the fill down to the bottom of the pillow. See below image for RED hook cover placement.

Usually less is more, some choose to fill the pillow a little at a time, slowly adding until the desired result is achieved and others do the opposite by filling the pillow to the max and removing material until the desired level of comfort and concealment is achieved. Choose whichever method works best for you.

PLACEMENT OF WEDGES/PADS/FOAM

AIWB is very user specific and what works for one may not work for someone else however the placement of the holster attachment (pillow or foam) is very important to function and overall comfort. We recommend starting with the wedge overhanging the muzzle of the holster by ½” to begin with. Movement of ¼” in any direction will have an impact on both the comfort and concealability. The fill level of pillows and profile of foam in combination with the placement can be used to dial in the optimal level of comfort and concealment for the individual user. Take care when reposition the attachments, especially foam to support the attachment to avoid damage to the foam or pillow when taking it on and off as the hook and loop is very strong.

WASHING ACP WEDGES/PADS:

If you need to launder your pillow wedges/pads, we recommend hand washing in a mild detergent and line/air drying (do not put in dryer). If you need to machine wash your pillow, put it in a garment bag, pillowcase or the like as the hook material can and will damage other items in the washer.

If only the exterior of the pillow needs a cleaning, we recommend taking the fill out prior to washing, the fill and pillow can be washed together if or required/preferred. For all pillows it is important to allow them to dry completely prior to use.

FILL OPTIONS:

Should you want to experiment with fill other than what is provided our only recommendation is to not use organic material like animal fibers, hair, feathers, or stuff like beans, rice, buckwheat, and the like.

NOTE:

If installing on a leather, fabric, or other non-plastic holster be sure to prep the surface as described above. The adhesive on the loop section is very strong and will bond to most surfaces provided they are clean and free of oil, and surface containments like paint, wax, fuzz, etc.

If using on leather; application area can be lightly scuffed with fine grit paper or scuff pad if it is shiny or well worn, be sure to clean before and after scuffing and let completely dry. (Not recommended for use on oiled leathers or impregnated leathers like latigo).

Will work on a wide variety of other materials and textiles. Not recommended for coated, waxed, impregnated, or certain performance fabrics. Because of the wide variety of materials makers are using in holster production we do not guarantee adhesion on any specific substrate.
